1.Engineering Unit
- TONAN uses general metric and Celsius system as principle. As for the SI units, TONAN adopts them in conformity with the customer’s requirement.

2. Form, Symbol, Abbreviation and Numbering Systems
- TONAN is familiar with standard engineering systems of various international companies. However, we develop our own standard as following:
·Document numbering system
·Drawing symbols
·Engineering blank forms
·Pipe support
·Others
- These are amended and established for each project with due consideration for the client’s specific requirements. These are usually agreed upon as components of the coordination procedure in the kick-off meeting with the client.

3. Standard Engineering specifications
- Within the various project, TONAN maintains up-to-date standard specifications. These specifications are used as a basis for developing the engineering specifications for a particular project during the basis engineering phase by incorporating specific job requirements. The established engineering specification, which is applied in the detailed engineering, defines the quality of equipment and materials by each category (such as vessels, piping, steel structure, insulation, painting, etc.) and provides the technical requirements to be followed in the design, manufacturing and inspection.
- These specifications are based on the TONAN’s extensive experience and are always updated to incorporate the most modern technology.
